Part 1 - 5 Little Known Places in Singapore

Have you ever been bored to tears during weekend not knowing where else to go in such  incredibly small country like Singapore? Well, I feel your pain. With a hyperactive kiddo at home, getting out of the house has help saved my sanity for countless times.

After doing a little bit of research here and there and some recommendations from friends, I have collate a list of places which I feel would be a good fit for help 'save' your tears of boredom during weekends.

1. Bollywood Veggies

If you have the luxury of owning a car in Singapore, Bollywood Veggies is a must-go weekend getaway for you and your family.

For those not driving, fret not. They have shuttle bus service to bring you there.

Located at Kranji countryside, this ten acre organic farm provides more than just a place for you to connect with your loved ones and a healthy meal.

Besides having a Food Museum, they also organize activities like guided farm tour, team-building, catering, hosting and the list goes on...

2. Hidden Paradise in Sentosa

Sick of seeing the crowded beaches in Sentosa? Need a beach that provides more privacy for you and your loved ones?

Try going to Tanjong Rimau next time you are in Sentosa. It is a quiet coastline lying quietly behind Rasa Sentosa.

Nope, I am not going to spoon-feed your guys. Go check it out, explore your way around and celebrate your new-found paradise with your friends or loved ones.

There are a few hidden caves lurking in the background if you are daring enough to venture around.

3. PasarBella @ Turf City

For those craving for exotic food and up-market dining experience, PasarBella is the perfect weekend dining destination for you and your family.

With over 30 stalls from all over the world, my hubby and I were spoiled for choices when we first step into this food haven.

As I am a true-blue Japanese food lover, it was love at first sight for me when I set my pair of eyeballs on their wide arrays of seafood.

4. Lorong Kampung Buangkok

Some of my friends did not believe me when I told them there is still a kampung remaining in Singapore.

This sole survivor from 1956 is older than most of the building you see in Singapore and a visit to this place is sure to bring back tons of childhood memories for the older generations.

Bring your old folks there during the weekend and have them indulge into the sweet memories of their childhood years.

5. Punggol Ranch Resort

Located at the 900 Punggol Road - Track 24, most Singaporeans could never have known such a place currently exist in Singapore.

Their Gallop Wagons are little chalets for rental which are quite affordable in my opinion. These small little wagons are equipped with mio-TV, wifi besides the usual toilet and aircon facilities.

Their rates are as below but do call them for the latest rates.

Deluxe Wagon -> $170 (Weekdays) / $200 (Weekends)
Family Wagon -> $190 (Weekdays) / $230 (Weekends)

Feeling tired after a long day? They have a Bacon & Booze cafe for you to chill your weekend away.

There are many more places in Singapore which are not known to the general public and I will be revealing more of them in future posts.

Do you have little known places in Singapore that you would like me to share? If so, drop me a comment below and I will check it out and will definitely share it when Part 2 comes along. :D

Intro Part 1 - Who am I?

Since you are reading this post, it is pretty obvious you are itching to know more about me, ya? :)

My name is Iris and I love being who I really am. Am I egoistic? Certainly not but I truly enjoy being in the native 'characteristic' state in which I am born with, hence the blog Irisibility.

I am a typical working mum who loves traveling and stalking the latest social media updates from friends and family members. Weekends are usually spent going for retail therapy with friends and/or family members across urban malls or catching up missed TV shows with hubby and kiddo. And if I am in the right mood, I would occasionally whip up a few dishes for the family. I would also be posting yummy-licious pictures of my cooking across future posts.

In case you are wondering, the purpose of this blog serves as a form of diary for me to pen down daily happenings, holidays, personal thoughts, places to visit, social trends and most importantly I have always wanted a platform for me to share useful healthy and life tips that I pick up along the way.

If you care to get in touch with me, leave a comment and I will certainly get back to you as soon as I can. If you would like to get notified whenever I release a new post, be sure to add your email to the "Follow by Email" box on the right sidebar.

p/s: Every 1st week of the month, a sequence to this Intro post will be posted. i.e. 1st week of March 2016, I will releasing part II of this Intro post. I will be revealing more about myself, my life and what I have been up to through the months or years to come. If you are keen to follow along, be sure to bookmark this blog and check for new updates every few days. :D

Truly living,
Iris
